About

I am a bit of a language buff. I fluently speaks five languages and am currently learning French, my sixth language. That said, I am very passionate about English. That is why I came up with the idea of compiling lists of challenging words and idioms used in my favorite English-language films and TV shows along with their definitions so that non-Native speakers of English like myself can master the language. What I do is while watching films and shows, I write down any words or expressions that I do not know quite well. Then I sit down and create a vocabulary list where I list the words and their definitions in chronological order.

I have found that exposure to authentic spoken English has helped me improve my listening skills, allowing me to familiarize myself with various accents, colloquialisms, and expressions used in real-life conversations. In addition, TV shows and films provide cultural insights, exposing one to different customs, traditions, and societal nuances. This immersive and enjoyable learning experience not only makes language acquisition more enjoyable, but also helps you develop a natural, intuitive feel for the language, making you a more confident and effective communicator in English.
